Recap of Our Love Midland Kickoff Event - October 12, 2024

On October 12th, we gathered for our very first "Love Midland Kickoff Event," a morning filled with community spirit, hard work, and meaningful impact! Starting bright and early at Astound Stadium, dedicated volunteers came together to make a difference by tackling two yards that needed some serious care.

Event Highlights:

🌞 8:00 - 9:45 am – Volunteers enjoyed breakfast snacks, drinks, and activities at the stadium, mingling with local vendors and visiting community partner booths. The kids loved the jumpers, games, and meeting local mascots. Dr. Stephanie Howard and Mayor Lori Blong joined us as guest speakers, inspiring everyone with words about community involvement and positive change.

🎉 9:45 am – With great excitement, we headed off to our project sites. Volunteers got their hands dirty, helping out at two yards that were truly transformed thanks to their hard work.

💪 10:00 am - 12:00 pm – From trimming overgrown hedges to clearing debris, our volunteers put in incredible effort. Their dedication left a lasting impact on both the yards and the residents we served, showing just how powerful our community can be when we come together.
